The recovery continues.. ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ฑ I put into words my own personal account of the flood which you can read over at travelinspred.co.nz ๐Ÿ’•

I've seen a lot of mattresses basking in the sun of late, our landlady included, who, although we live in an adjoining house, are unfortunately slightly lower than us, and so took the brunt of the flooding water. There's also a lot of discarded items laying around as people sort through, what can be kept and what is now trash, destroyedby the water and mud. However, the dry conditions have also resulted in a lot of dust on the roads, in the air and coating just about everything possible. And just as I type this it has started to lightly rain... #timorlestecleanup ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ฑ

I wanted to put together a video about the flash f I wanted to put together a video about the flash flood which happened in the early hours of Easter Sunday here in Timor-Leste, a) to increase awareness of it and help spread the word, b) direct people to where they can support those in need via a donation, and c) show those that are following the developments from overseas a little of the aftermath. Obviously, it's still lockdown in Dili right now, so I've kept my outings to a minimum, either to help people with digging mud, cleaning belongings and whatever else they need, or to go out for essential groceries. While out I've tried to capture a little of day-to-day life and it's awe inspiring to see the level of resilience and people helping each other however they can. I've just published it on my YouTube Channel - link available in my profile - so, please give it a watch, like, and comment, and help spread the message. I've included some links within the YouTube video description for people who would like to donate. ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ฑ
