I've spent some time recently working on the stunn I've spent some time recently working on the stunning Atauro Island, an hour fast boat ride, 3 hour local boat, or a 15 min flight from the capital Dili, Timor-Leste and a favourite place of mine. It's a popular spot for visitors keen to snorkel and dive on the Coral Triangle, experience a little of the low key, relaxed island life and is definitely a must do for anyone visiting Timor-Leste. πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡± So having a chance to visit and shoot our latest video project, meet new friends, and hear about ecotourism from those in the know was a real privilege. Love it! #timorleste #atauroisland #ecotourism #videographer

I recently published this new video called This is I recently published this new video called This is the Most Biodiverse Marine Ecosystem on Planet Earth, The Coral Triangle. It's a pretty spectacular sight to behold and everytime I venture into the ocean I'm left amazed by the sights, it's unreal, but real! I'm stoked with how the video came out and a huge thanks to Ashlee Gross for capturing the incredible underwater scenes. 🌍
These customised 'bakso' scooters are a common sig These customised 'bakso' scooters are a common sight in Dili, Timor-Leste. πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡± The riders slowly cruise around the city, beeping their horn and selling hot pentolan meatballs on a stick from the one or two large pots fitted onto the back of the bike. I'm yet to try them but they appear particulary popular with young children who wave them down and tuck into a handy snack.
You can't beat a good dose of nature for the mind You can't beat a good dose of nature for the mind and body! πŸ’• On this occasion as we were hiking in the remote rural farmlands of Atsabe, Timor-Leste, nature provided a much needed downpour, cooling us all down, and also provided a huge natural umbrella for our guide too. It's fair to say he was somewhat less thrilled than me by the rain and cooler conditions... πŸ™‚ I loved it, embracing a welcome break in the humidity levels and having a little relief from the sheer amount of sweat pouring from my face and body. Although I must admit that it did make it somewhat more challenging to continue to video and take photos and I resorted to using my backpack rain cover as a makeshift camera cover, which worked a treat and the camera survived to shoot another adventure! 🌿
