Video | As I approached the summit of the volcano, a thick blanket of fog covers Lake Billy Mitchell/Eruovi in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville, Papua New Guinea. All of a sudden it lifted to reveal plunging crater walls, landslides, thickets of vivid green ferns and the majestic lake itself. Several minutes later it disappeared from sight once again.
