Hi, I loved the video, it bought back so many memories. My husband at the time was training the nationals to operate the mines computer system. We were a young family of four children and we went in shares with a yatch. We lived there for two years. We explored most of the places you went to. We were in a community of expats, and lived on the road where the general hospital was. It was the most beautiful place I have ever been to. I am amazed that you were allowed to live there to be honest. When we left the island was in chaos and getting pretty dangerous to be there. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for reaching out and enjoyed the video. It’s great to be able to share some of Bougainville with people that have experienced it for themselves. My partner and I lived in Arawa from late 2016 as New Zealand volunteers. There were about 15 other Kiwi volunteers as well as NZ Police, AVI and Austrians too, so a great community of expats. A very beautiful place to have experienced. Cheers, Adam
