  3. Hi, I loved the video, it bought back so many memories. My husband at the time was training the nationals to operate the mines computer system. We were a young family of four children and we went in shares with a yatch. We lived there for two years. We explored most of the places you went to. We were in a community of expats, and lived on the road where the general hospital was. It was the most beautiful place I have ever been to. I am amazed that you were allowed to live there to be honest. When we left the island was in chaos and getting pretty dangerous to be there. Thanks for the video.

    • Thanks for reaching out and enjoyed the video. It’s great to be able to share some of Bougainville with people that have experienced it for themselves. My partner and I lived in Arawa from late 2016 as New Zealand volunteers. There were about 15 other Kiwi volunteers as well as NZ Police, AVI and Austrians too, so a great community of expats. A very beautiful place to have experienced. Cheers, Adam
